Have you become more ignorant after seeing more and more deaths, especially those you know personally, in your path to becoming a doctor?
It's a NO NO for me.
In fact, I feel indeed very thankful the moment I wake up every morning nowadays, knowing that here I go, 1 more day for me, what good can I do?
Forget about the negative things, the comparing of whose marks are better (doesn't mean that it's an excuse to slack off), whose skills are better, which "beura" is better, etc.
Why not change the mindset instead, remember about how to live a life, how to help, how to contribute, how to be positive in every aspect of life, how to cultivate inner happiness, etc.
Just a random thought that I must quickly write it down.
Nothing is for granted. Always think, from what if I do not again have the convenience of turning on and off electricity so easily, the same goes for water to the other end of the spectrum, what if I lose someone that I truly treasure?
imho, always do what's right although 90% of ppl out there think it's wrong because they've been living in the world of lies for so long.
Do not ever cheat ourselves.
And, I dislike the word busy.

dude, what u said is sooo true. But, our current stressful life at times does not permit us to so called "live a life" . Exams, clerkings, rounds, pbls, tbls, seminars, presentations, calls, etc. I feel like i've lost part of my life. Being positive in EVERY aspect of life, cultivating inner happiness?? how?? I live in a society with ppl of various attitudes and backgrounds. Sometimes, "things" happen n, it's just difficult. Obstacles of life, they say. Only 2 options, face it or u lose the game. Life is basically a game, bro. Play it well. Thatz all i can say.
wells, agree,... partly. again, ppl have different views and values, i've gotta respect them. for me, life is a gift. oh yeah, we certainly need to face what we have in front of us, rounds, clerkings, bls, etc. but hey! it's for the greater good: to serve the patients. isnt that a well enough reason to face life as it is presently? =)
